Position Overview
Job Title: Cyber Security & Information Security Officer

This is a senior-level security leadership role responsible for establishing and enforcing enterprise-wide cybersecurity governance, risk management, and information security frameworks across the organization.
Role Purpose
The Cyber Security & Information Security Officer ensures the confidentiality, integrity, and availability of all organizational information systems. The role provides strategic leadership in cyber risk management, regulatory compliance, and security architecture for financial systems and digital platforms.

Key Responsibilities
Enterprise Security Governance
- Develop and implement enterprise-wide cybersecurity strategy
- Maintain Information Security Management System (ISMS) documentation
- Conduct annual cyber risk assessments and maintain risk registers
- Produce quarterly cyber risk reports for Board review
Risk & Compliance Management
- Ensure compliance with financial sector regulatory requirements
- Manage internal and external cyber security audits
- Oversee third-party security risk assessments
- Ensure adherence to data protection and privacy laws
Incident Response & Cyber Resilience
- Develop and maintain incident response plans
- Lead cyber incident detection, response, and recovery processes
- Conduct regular incident simulation and testing exercises
- Ensure business continuity during cyber disruptions
Security Architecture & Operations
- Review and approve security architecture for IT systems and projects
- Oversee cloud, API, and network security controls
- Monitor threat intelligence and vulnerability management systems
- Enforce secure system deployment standards
Leadership & Governance
- Chair Information Security Steering Committee
- Escalate critical risks directly to CEO and Board Risk Committee
- Advise executive management on cyber risk exposure
- Lead organizational cyber awareness programs
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
- Reduction in overall cyber risk exposure
- Improvement in cybersecurity maturity level
- Zero major regulatory compliance breaches
- Mean Time to Detect (MTTD) and Respond (MTTR) improvements
- Percentage of vulnerabilities resolved within SLA
- Phishing simulation failure reduction
- Patch compliance across critical systems
- Third-party risk score improvement
Educational Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Cyber Security, Computer Science, Information Technology, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Cyber Security, Information Assurance, or Business Administration (preferred)

Experience Requirements
- 8–10 years of progressive experience in cybersecurity or information security
- 3–5 years in a leadership or managerial role
- Experience in financial services or regulated industries strongly preferred
- Experience handling regulatory audits and cybersecurity compliance reviews
- Exposure to securing core banking or digital financial systems
