Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled Public Health Nutritionist to join our dedicated health team in Brikama. This role is critical to our mission of reducing child mortality and malnutrition rates in the region. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and monitoring nutrition-focused interventions that target children under five and pregnant/lactating women. This position requires a deep understanding of community health dynamics and the ability to translate complex nutritional data into actionable community programs. You will work closely with local health authorities and community leaders to ensure that our interventions are culturally appropriate and sustainable.

Key Responsibilities
- Design and implement community-based nutrition programs to prevent and treat malnutrition.
- Conduct nutritional assessments and monitoring of vulnerable populations in the Brikama region.
- Provide technical support and training to local health workers and community volunteers.
- Collaborate with government health departments to integrate nutrition services into existing primary healthcare frameworks.
- Monitor and evaluate program impact through rigorous data collection and reporting.
- Develop educational materials for community awareness campaigns regarding dietary diversity and hygiene.

- Advanced knowledge of nutritional assessment tools and dietary guidelines.

Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Human Nutrition, Dietetics, Public Health, or a closely related field is required. A Master’s degree in Public Health or Nutritional Epidemiology is highly preferred.
Experience
Candidates must possess at least 3 to 5 years of professional experience in public health nutrition, preferably within a non-governmental organization (NGO) or international development context. Proven experience in community-based malnutrition management is essential.
Salary
