Key Responsibilities
- Perform advanced computerized diagnostics to identify faults in engine management, transmission, and electronic safety systems.
- Interpret complex technical data and wiring diagrams to troubleshoot electrical malfunctions.
- Conduct routine and specialized inspections to ensure all vehicle components meet manufacturer specifications.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to develop long-term maintenance strategies for fleet clients.
- Maintain accurate digital records of all diagnostic tests and repairs performed on customer vehicles.
- Ensure all workshop equipment and diagnostic tools are calibrated and maintained according to safety standards.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in using OBD-II scanners and specialized manufacturer diagnostic software.
- Deep understanding of internal combustion engines, hybrid systems, and electronic control units (ECUs).
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to interpret sensor data and fault codes.
- Excellent technical communication skills to explain complex issues to non-technical clients.
- High attention to detail regarding safety protocols and precision measurements.
Education
A Higher National Diploma (HND) or Bachelor’s Degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a closely related technical field is mandatory. Candidates must demonstrate a strong theoretical foundation in electronic systems and mechanical dynamics.
Experience
Applicants must possess a minimum of 3 to 5 years of hands-on experience in a professional automotive workshop, specifically focusing on electronic diagnostics and complex troubleshooting. Experience with major international vehicle brands is highly preferred.
Salary
