We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Legal Counsel to join our legal department in Banjul. Key Responsibilities

  • Provide strategic legal advice to the executive board on complex banking transactions and regulatory matters.
  • Draft, review, and negotiate high-value commercial contracts and credit agreements.
  • Manage and oversee external legal counsel to ensure efficient handling of litigation and arbitration.
  • Ensure strict adherence to Central Bank of The Gambia regulations and international AML/KYC standards.
  • Mitigate legal risks by conducting regular audits of internal banking processes and documentation.
  • Lead the legal response to regulatory inquiries and government investigations.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and experience level.
