We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Laboratory Technician to join our quality assurance team in Brikama. Key Responsibilities

• Perform advanced chemical and microbiological testing on raw materials, in-process samples, and finished products.
• Maintain and calibrate sensitive laboratory instrumentation to ensure accuracy in all testing procedures.
• Document all test results meticulously in accordance with ISO and company-specific quality management systems.
• Identify deviations in product quality and initiate corrective actions to prevent non-conforming products from leaving the facility.
• Collaborate with the production team to optimize brewing processes through real-time analytical feedback.
• Ensure the laboratory environment complies with all health, safety, and environmental (HSE) regulations.

Required Skills

• Advanced proficiency in analytical chemistry techniques including HPLC and spectrophotometry.
• Strong understanding of food safety management systems (HACCP and ISO 22000).
• Exceptional attention to detail and precision in data recording and analysis.
• Strong problem-solving skills to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and process deviations.
• Excellent communication skills for reporting technical findings to non-technical stakeholders.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Biochemistry, Food Science, Chemistry, or a related scientific discipline is mandatory. Advanced certifications in laboratory management or quality assurance are highly preferred.

Experience

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands-on experience in a laboratory setting, preferably within the food, beverage, or pharmaceutical industry. Proven experience in managing quality control protocols in a high-volume manufacturing environment is essential.

Salary
