Job Overview

The Renewable Energy Project Analyst will support the planning, execution, and monitoring of renewable energy projects in Gambia. Reporting to the Project Manager, the analyst will conduct feasibility studies, perform data analysis, and prepare detailed reports that guide decision‑making for solar and wind installations. Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct technical and economic feasibility studies for solar and wind projects.
  • Analyze site data, resource assessments, and grid integration possibilities.
  • Prepare detailed project documentation, including cost‑benefit analyses, risk assessments, and timelines.
  • Support the preparation of permits, environmental impact assessments, and regulatory submissions.
  • Collaborate with engineering, finance, and procurement teams to ensure alignment of project scopes.
  • Monitor project performance against KPIs and provide regular status updates to senior management.
  • Assist in stakeholder engagement, including community outreach and government liaison.

Required Skills

  • Strong analytical and quantitative skills with proficiency in Excel, PowerBI, or similar tools.
  • Knowledge of renewable energy technologies, especially solar PV and wind turbines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for report preparation and stakeholder interaction.
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple tasks in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Familiarity with Gambia’s energy regulations and permitting processes is an advantage.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Renewable Energy, Environmental Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline is required. Advanced certifications or a Master’s degree in Energy Management are considered a plus.

Experience

Applicants should have 3‑5 years of experience in renewable energy project analysis, feasibility studies, or related roles within the energy sector. Experience working on projects in West Africa or emerging markets is highly desirable.

Salary

The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 1,200,000 to SSP 1,800,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and benefits are included.
