Job Overview
This role is part of Schneider Electric’s initiative to expand smart manufacturing capabilities in West Africa. The Industrial Automation Engineer will design, implement, and maintain automation systems for industrial clients in Kunta Kalle. Key Responsibilities
- Design and program industrial automation systems using PLCs, SCADA, and HMI technologies
- Conduct site assessments to optimize manufacturing workflows and energy efficiency
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate automation solutions with existing infrastructure
- Provide technical support and training to client engineers and technicians
- Ensure compliance with international safety standards (ISO 23247, IEC 61131-3)
Required Skills
- Proficiency in Siemens TIA Portal, Allen Bradley Studio 5000, or similar automation software
- Experience with industrial robotics and motion control systems
- Strong analytical skills for troubleshooting complex automation challenges
- Knowledge of Industry 4.0 concepts and IoT-enabled manufacturing
- Excellent communication skills for client-facing technical presentations
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering
- Certifications in automation programming (optional but preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years in industrial automation project implementation
- Proven track record in manufacturing environments
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 Dinar (SSP) per annum, commensurate with experience and technical expertise.
