Job Overview: We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Renewable Energy Engineer to join our team in Basse, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining sustainable renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants. The position will also involve working with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable energy development and reduce energy poverty.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement sustainable renewable energy systems, including solar, wind, and hydroelectric power plants
- Conduct feasibility studies and assessments to identify potential renewable energy sources and opportunities
- Develop and implement energy efficiency measures to reduce energy consumption and costs
- Work with local communities, governments, and other stakeholders to promote sustainable energy development and reduce energy poverty
- Provide technical assistance and training to local communities and governments on sustainable renewable energy systems
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Renewable Energy Engineering or related field
- Minimum 8 years of experience in sustainable renewable energy engineering and development
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful sustainable renewable energy projects
- Strong technical skills in solar, wind, and hydroelectric power systems
- Excellent communication and project management skills
