The successful candidate will work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fish farmers and improve food security in the region.

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Sare Ngai, Gambia. The successful candidate will work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fish farmers and improve food security in the region.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fish farmers and improve food security in the region.
- Work closely with local partners to develop and implement aquaculture extension services that improve the livelihoods of small-scale fish farmers.
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving aquaculture productivity and sustainability in the region.
- Develop and implement training programs for small-scale fish farmers on sustainable aquaculture practices.
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable aquaculture practices on small-scale fish farmers and the environment.
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in aquaculture and fisheries development.
- Proven track record of developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices that benefit small-scale fish farmers.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a team environment and build partnerships with local stakeholders.
Education
Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field.
Experience
5-7 years of experience in aquaculture and fisheries development.
Salary
25,000 – 40,000 SSP per month.
