We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist to join our team in Basse, Gambia.
Job Overview
The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices in the Gambia.
This will involve working with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote environmentally friendly and socially responsible aquaculture practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices in the Gambia
- Work with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to promote environmentally friendly and socially responsible aquaculture practices
- Conduct research and analysis to identify opportunities for improving aquaculture practices in the Gambia
- Develop and implement training programs for local communities and government agencies on sustainable aquaculture practices
- Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable aquaculture practices on the environment and local communities
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in aquaculture or related field
- Strong knowledge of sustainable aquaculture practices and their application in the Gambia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
