Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist to join our team in Brikama, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions for various industries, including construction, manufacturing, and agriculture.
The Sustainable Materials Scientist will work closely with our local partners to identify opportunities for sustainable materials use and develop innovative solutions to address the country’s development challenges. The successful candidate will also be responsible for conducting research and development activities, including testing and evaluation of materials, and providing technical assistance to our partners.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable materials solutions for various industries
- Conduct research and development activities, including testing and evaluation of materials
- Provide technical assistance to our partners
- Identify opportunities for sustainable materials use and develop innovative solutions
- Work closely with our local partners to develop and implement sustainable materials solutions
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in materials science or related field
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a team environment
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Experience with sustainable materials and their applications
Education
The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Materials Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Materials Science or a related field is an added advantage.
Experience
The successful candidate must have at least 5-7 years of experience in materials science or a related field. Experience with sustainable materials and their applications is highly desirable.
Salary
The salary for this position is SSP 45,000 – 60,000 per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
