Job Overview

The Mining Operations Manager will lead all aspects of daily mine operations at the Brikama site, ensuring optimal production, safety, and environmental compliance. Key Responsibilities

• Oversee all mine production activities, ensuring targets are met safely and efficiently.
• Develop and implement operational plans, schedules, and resource allocation strategies.
• Monitor and enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
• Lead a multidisciplinary team of engineers, supervisors, and field staff, fostering collaboration and performance excellence.
• Manage the mine’s budget, cost control measures, and financial reporting.
• Coordinate with procurement, maintenance, and logistics to ensure seamless supply chain support.
• Conduct regular performance reviews, risk assessments, and root‑cause analyses to drive continuous improvement.
• Engage with local communities and government agencies to maintain positive stakeholder relationships.
• Prepare detailed operational reports for senior management and external auditors.
• Implement innovative technologies and best practices to enhance productivity and sustainability.

Experience

Applicants must possess a minimum of five years of progressive experience in mining operations, with at least two years in a supervisory or managerial capacity.
