Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team in Soma, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring that all systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in data center operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the data center, including monitoring systems and equipment, performing routine maintenance, and troubleshooting issues.
- Ensure that all data center systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently, with minimal downtime.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures for data center operations, including disaster recovery and business continuity plans.
- Collaborate with other departments, including IT and engineering, to ensure that data center operations are aligned with overall business objectives.
- Manage a team of data center technicians and engineers, providing guidance and support as needed.
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5-7 years of experience in data center operations, with a focus on managing day-to-day operations and ensuring system uptime.
- Strong knowledge of data center systems and equipment, including servers, storage, and networking.
- Experience with data center management software, including monitoring and automation tools.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage a team of technicians and engineers.
- Strong problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
