Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Kerewan, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting research in geophysics, including the use of seismic and other geophysical techniques to study the Earth’s structure and composition.
The Geophysics Research Scientist will work closely with our team of scientists and engineers to design and implement research projects, collect and analyze data, and interpret results. They will also be responsible for publishing their research findings in scientific journals and presenting them at conferences.
The successful candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics and at least 8 years of experience in research and development. They will also have a strong track record of publishing research papers and presenting at conferences.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct research in geophysics, including the use of seismic and other geophysical techniques to study the Earth’s structure and composition.
- Design and implement research projects, collect and analyze data, and interpret results.
- Publish research findings in scientific journals and present them at conferences.
- Work closely with our team of scientists and engineers to deliver research projects.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including government agencies, industry partners, and the public.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field.
- At least 8 years of experience in research and development.
- Strong track record of publishing research papers and presenting at conferences.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
