Job Overview
The Senior Metallurgical Engineer will play a critical role in overseeing the chemical and physical processes used to extract valuable metals from ore. This position is central to our Brikama operations, ensuring that all processing stages—from crushing and grinding to leaching and smelting—are optimized for maximum yield and efficiency. You will be responsible for analyzing complex data sets to troubleshoot process instabilities and implement continuous improvement strategies. Key Responsibilities
- Optimize mineral processing circuits to maximize gold recovery rates and minimize reagent consumption.
- Conduct detailed metallurgical testing and pilot-scale studies to evaluate new ore bodies.
- Monitor real-time process data to identify deviations and implement corrective actions immediately.
- Lead metallurgical accounting procedures to ensure accurate reporting of metal production.
- Collaborate with the geological and mining teams to ensure ore quality meets processing requirements.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures (SOPs) for all metallurgical processes.
- Oversee the management of tailings and ensure compliance with environmental safety standards.

Salary
