The department is seeking a highly experienced and skilled Renewable Energy Project Manager to lead the development and implementation of renewable energy projects in Africa.

Job Overview:

The Renewable Energy Project Manager will be responsible for leading the development and implementation of renewable energy projects in Africa. The project manager will work closely with the department’s team of engineers, economists, and other experts to identify and develop projects that promote the use of renewable energy.

The project manager will also be responsible for managing the bank’s relationships with governments, private sector companies, and other development partners to secure funding and support for the projects.

The project manager will be based in the bank’s office in Soma, Gambia and will be required to travel frequently to other countries in Africa to work on projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead the development and implementation of renewable energy projects in Africa
  • Manage the bank’s relationships with governments, private sector companies, and other development partners to secure funding and support for the projects
  • Work closely with the department’s team of engineers, economists, and other experts to identify and develop projects that promote the use of renewable energy
  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines
  • Ensure that all projects are implemented in accordance with the bank’s policies and procedures

Required Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or related field
  • 8-12 years of experience in renewable energy project management
  • Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and policies
  • Excellent communication and project management skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously

Education:

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or a related field. The candidate will also have a strong understanding of renewable energy technologies and policies.

Experience:

The successful candidate will have 8-12 years of experience in renewable energy project management. The candidate will have a strong track record of managing projects from conception to completion and will have excellent communication and project management skills.

Salary:

The salary for this position will be 50,000 – 80,000 SSP per month.
