Job Overview
The Sustainable Aquaculture Specialist will work with our team to develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices in the Gambia.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in aquaculture, and experience working in the Gambia or a similar context.
They will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable aquaculture practices, and for working with local communities to promote the adoption of these practices.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable aquaculture practices in the Gambia
- Work with local communities to promote the adoption of sustainable aquaculture practices
- Conduct research and analysis to inform the development of sustainable aquaculture practices
- Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation systems to track the impact of sustainable aquaculture practices
- Collaborate with other organizations and stakeholders to promote the adoption of sustainable aquaculture practices
Required Skills
- Strong background in aquaculture
- Experience working in the Gambia or a similar context
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Aquaculture or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in aquaculture or a related field
Salary
35,000 – 45,000 SSP per month
