Job Overview
This Cybersecurity Analyst role is part of KPMG Gambia’s expanding IT division, focusing on safeguarding digital assets and infrastructure. The position requires a proactive approach to threat detection, risk mitigation, and compliance with international cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats using advanced threat detection tools
- Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols
- Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
- Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with ISO 27001 and GDPR standards
- Collaborate with IT teams to respond to security incidents and breaches
- Provide training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and phishing prevention
Required Skills
- Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
- Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Snort)
- Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar)
- Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and endpoint protection
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders
Education
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
- Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology (preferred)
Experience
- 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles
- Proven track record in managing security operations centers (SOC)
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 Dinar per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
