Job Overview

This Cybersecurity Analyst role is part of KPMG Gambia’s expanding IT division, focusing on safeguarding digital assets and infrastructure. The position requires a proactive approach to threat detection, risk mitigation, and compliance with international cybersecurity standards. Key Responsibilities

  • Monitor and analyze cybersecurity threats using advanced threat detection tools
  • Implement and maintain firewalls, intrusion detection systems, and encryption protocols
  • Conduct vulnerability assessments and penetration testing to identify system weaknesses
  • Develop and enforce cybersecurity policies aligned with ISO 27001 and GDPR standards
  • Collaborate with IT teams to respond to security incidents and breaches
  • Provide training to staff on cybersecurity best practices and phishing prevention

Required Skills

  • Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) or equivalent certification
  • Proficiency in network security tools (e.g., Wireshark, Snort)
  • Experience with SIEM platforms (e.g., Splunk, IBM QRadar)
  • Strong knowledge of cloud security (AWS, Azure) and endpoint protection
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to communicate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, or related field
  • Master’s Degree in Cybersecurity or Information Technology (preferred)

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in cybersecurity roles
  • Proven track record in managing security operations centers (SOC)

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 Dinar per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
