Job Overview

We are seeking a highly creative and technically proficient E-Learning Curriculum Developer to join our regional team in Brikama. This role is designed for an expert who understands the intersection of pedagogy and digital technology. You will be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing comprehensive digital learning modules that cater to diverse learner needs in the Gambia. This is a unique career opportunity in Gambia for someone passionate about educational equity and digital transformation. You will work closely with subject matter experts to translate complex academic content into engaging, interactive, and accessible online courses. The ideal candidate will possess a deep understanding of instructional design models and have a proven track record of managing digital content lifecycles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design interactive digital learning modules using advanced authoring tools.
  • Collaborate with educators to develop comprehensive curricula that align with national standards.
  • Develop multimedia assets including video scripts, interactive quizzes, and digital infographics.
  • Conduct regular assessments of digital course effectiveness and user engagement metrics.
  • Ensure all digital content meets international accessibility standards for learners with disabilities.
  • Manage the deployment of learning content via Learning Management Systems (LMS).

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in instructional design methodologies (ADDIE, SAM).
  • Expertise in using e-learning authoring tools like Articulate Storyline or Adobe Captivate.
  • Strong project management skills to handle multiple curriculum development timelines.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Deep understanding of User Experience (UX) principles applied to digital education.

Education

A Master’s degree in Instructional Design, Educational Technology, or a related field is mandatory. A Bachelor’s degree with significant professional experience in digital content creation may be considered in exceptional circumstances.

Experience

A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in curriculum development, specifically within a digital or remote learning environment, is required. Experience working with international NGOs or educational institutions is highly preferred.

Salary

The monthly salary for this position ranges from 45,000 SSP to 75,000 SSP, depending on the candidate’s expertise and previous experience in the field.
