Job Overview
This role is ideal for a driven professional to lead SolarTech’s renewable energy projects in Serekunda. The position involves managing project lifecycles, coordinating with stakeholders, and ensuring alignment with international sustainability standards. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee planning, execution, and delivery of renewable energy projects (solar/wind).
- Coordinate with local governments, NGOs, and community stakeholders for project approvals and partnerships.
- Monitor project budgets, timelines, and compliance with environmental regulations.
- Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments for new energy initiatives.
- Lead cross-functional teams, including engineers, technicians, and contractors.
Required Skills
- Proven expertise in renewable energy project management (solar/wind preferred).
- Strong understanding of Gambia’s energy sector regulations and sustainability frameworks.
- Excellent leadership and stakeholder communication skills.
- Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Primavera).
- Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Mandinka, Wolof) is an advantage.
Education
Bachelor’s Degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or related field. A Master’s Degree in Sustainable Development or Energy Management is preferred.
Experience
Minimum of 5 years in renewable energy project management, with prior experience in West Africa. Experience in managing large-scale infrastructure projects is essential.
Salary
150,000 – 200,000 GMD annually, commensurate with experience and project impact.
