Job Overview
The Risk Advisory Consultant will work closely with clients to identify, assess, and mitigate financial, operational, and regulatory risks. This role involves delivering tailored risk management frameworks, conducting comprehensive risk assessments, and advising on control enhancements. The consultant will collaborate with cross‑functional teams to develop actionable insights that support strategic decision‑making. Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed risk assessments for clients across various sectors, identifying gaps and recommending mitigation strategies.
- Develop and implement risk management frameworks aligned with international standards such as ISO 31000 and COSO.
- Collaborate with audit and tax teams to integrate risk insights into broader advisory engagements.
- Prepare comprehensive risk reports, dashboards, and presentations for senior client stakeholders.
- Facilitate workshops and training sessions to build client awareness of risk culture and governance.
- Stay updated on regulatory changes in Gambia and the wider West African region to advise clients on compliance requirements.
- Contribute to business development activities, including proposal writing and client relationship management.
Required Skills
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving abilities with a data‑driven mindset.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, for interacting with senior executives.
- Proficiency in risk management tools and software, such as ACL, SAP GRC, or similar platforms.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Knowledge of local and international regulatory environments affecting Gambia.
- Project management experience with a focus on delivering results on time and within budget.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CPA, ACCA, CIA, or CRMA are highly desirable and will be considered an advantage during the selection process.
Experience
Candidates must have a minimum of five years of relevant experience in risk advisory, internal audit, or consulting. Experience working with multinational clients or within the West African market will be viewed favorably, as it aligns with KPMG Gambia’s focus on delivering global best practices to local businesses.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 180,000 to 250,000 SSP per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and a retirement savings plan.
