Job Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist to join our team in Mansakonko, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials solutions for our projects in the Gambia.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainable materials and technologies. They will also have excellent communication and project management skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement sustainable materials solutions for our projects in the Gambia
- Conduct research and analysis on sustainable materials and technologies
- Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and address material-related challenges
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and partners
- Ensure compliance with GIZ Gambia’s environmental and social policies
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in materials science and engineering
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software
Education
We are looking for a candidate with a Master’s degree in Materials Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Materials Science or a related field is an asset.
Experience
The ideal candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in materials science and engineering, with a focus on sustainable materials and technologies. They will also have experience working in a team environment and collaborating with stakeholders at all levels.
Salary
The salary for this position is 25000-40000 SSP per month, depending on experience.
