Job Overview:We are seeking a highly qualified and experienced Sustainable Urban Planning Specialist to join our team in Brikama, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies and projects in collaboration with local stakeholders and government agencies. Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies and projects in collaboration with local stakeholders and government agencies.
- Conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues and trends in Gambia and the region.
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to local government agencies and stakeholders on sustainable urban planning practices.
- Collaborate with international partners and organizations to share best practices and expertise in sustainable urban planning.
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field.
- At least 5 years of experience in urban planning and development, with a focus on sustainable development.
- Strong knowledge of urban planning principles, policies, and practices in Gambia and the region.
- Excellent communication and project management skills.
- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with local stakeholders and government agencies.
Education:Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field.
