Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute sustainability initiatives for supply chain operations in Gambia.
  • Analyze logistics data to identify opportunities for energy efficiency and waste reduction.
  • Collaborate with suppliers to ensure adherence to ethical sourcing and environmental protocols.
  • Monitor and report on carbon emissions, water usage, and other sustainability metrics.
  • Design training programs for staff on sustainable practices and compliance standards.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in supply chain sustainability frameworks (e.g., ISO 14001, UN SDGs).
  • Proficiency in logistics software (SAP, Oracle) and data analytics tools (Tableau, Power BI).
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of implementing green initiatives.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement abilities.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (Wolof, Mandinka) is an asset.

Education

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, Environmental Science, or related field.
  • Master’s Degree or certifications (LEED, PMP, or Sustainability Leadership) preferred.

Experience

  • 3-5 years of experience in supply chain sustainability roles.
  • Proven success in reducing operational environmental impacts.
  • Experience in West African logistics markets is advantageous.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 DKK annually, commensurate with experience.
