Job Overview

The Digital Financial Inclusion Specialist will lead initiatives to expand access to digital financial services across rural and urban areas in Gambia. Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement digital payment solutions tailored to Gambia’s economic landscape.
  • Partner with local banks, mobile money operators, and NGOs to scale financial inclusion programs.
  • Analyze market trends to identify gaps in digital financial service accessibility.
  • Train community agents and financial institutions on digital transaction platforms.
  • Monitor and evaluate the impact of financial inclusion initiatives using data-driven insights.

Required Skills

  • Expertise in digital payment systems (e.g., mobile money, USSD, QR code transactions).
  • Strong understanding of Gambia’s financial regulatory framework.
  • Proficiency in stakeholder engagement and cross-sector collaboration.
  • Data analysis skills using tools like Excel, Tableau, or Power BI.
  • Fluency in English and local languages (e.g., Mandinka, Wolof) is an advantage.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Advanced certification in Financial Inclusion or Digital Transformation is preferred.

Experience

  • 3–5 years in financial services, fintech, or development programs.
  • Proven experience in designing digital financial solutions for emerging markets.

Salary

150,000 – 200,000 Dinar per annum, commensurate with experience.
