Job Overview:WWF Gambia is seeking an experienced Environmental Policy Analyst to join our team in Brikama. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and developing policies to promote sustainable development and conservation of natural resources in Gambia.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct research and analysis on environmental policies and regulations in Gambia and internationally
- Develop and implement policies to promote sustainable development and conservation of natural resources
- Collaborate with government agencies, NGOs, and private sector organizations to promote policy change
- Develop and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, NGOs, and private sector organizations
- Provide technical assistance and support to government agencies and other stakeholders on environmental policy issues
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Policy or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental policy analysis and development
- Strong research and analytical skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
