Key Responsibilities
- Lead the development and implementation of disaster risk reduction and management strategies in the region
- Conduct risk assessments and develop mitigation plans to reduce the impact of disasters on communities
- Collaborate with local authorities, communities, and stakeholders to develop and implement disaster risk reduction and management plans
- Provide technical assistance and capacity building to local authorities and communities on disaster risk reduction and management
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of disaster risk reduction and management strategies and make recommendations for improvement
Required Skills
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Disaster Risk Reduction, or a related field
- 8-12 years of experience in disaster risk reduction and management
- Proven track record of leading the development and implementation of disaster risk reduction and management strategies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a dynamic and collaborative team environment
Education
