Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Urban Planner to join our team in Basse, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable urban planning strategies and projects that promote the well-being of local communities.

The ideal candidate will have a strong background in urban planning, experience in project management, and excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable urban planning strategies and projects that promote the well-being of local communities
  • Conduct research and analysis on urban planning issues and trends
  • Collaborate with local stakeholders, including government officials, community leaders, and private sector partners
  • Develop and manage project budgets and timelines
  • Prepare and present reports and presentations to stakeholders

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Urban Planning or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and project management
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a team environment and collaborate with stakeholders

Education

The ideal candidate will have a Master’s degree in Urban Planning or a related field from a recognized university.

Experience

The successful candidate will have 5-7 years of experience in urban planning and project management, with a strong background in sustainable urban planning principles and practices.

Salary

The salary for this position is 40,000 – 60,000 SSP per month, depending on experience and qualifications.
