Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Fashion Designer to lead our sustainable fashion initiatives in Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and developing sustainable fashion collections, collaborating with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable practices, and driving innovation in sustainable fashion.
Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop sustainable fashion collections that meet H&M Group’s sustainability standards
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement sustainable practices throughout the design process
- Drive innovation in sustainable fashion, identifying new materials, technologies, and production methods
- Develop and maintain relationships with suppliers and manufacturers to ensure sustainable sourcing practices
- Conduct market research and trend analysis to stay up-to-date on the latest sustainable fashion trends
Required Skills
- Minimum 5 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on sustainability
- Strong understanding of sustainable fashion principles and practices
- Excellent design skills, with the ability to create innovative and stylish designs
- Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator and Photoshop
Education
Bachelor’s degree in Fashion Design or related field
Experience
5-7 years of experience in fashion design, with a focus on sustainability
Salary
250,000 – 350,000 SSP per annum
