Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Environmental Conservation Specialist to join our team in Kuntaur, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing conservation projects that promote sustainable land use practices and protect biodiversity. This is an exciting opportunity to work with a dynamic team and contribute to the conservation of Gambia’s natural resources.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement conservation projects that promote sustainable land use practices and protect biodiversity
  • Collaborate with local communities, government agencies, and other stakeholders to achieve conservation goals
  • Conduct field research and monitoring to assess the effectiveness of conservation projects
  • Develop and manage project budgets and ensure effective use of resources
  • Communicate project results and recommendations to stakeholders through reports, presentations, and other materials

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science, Conservation Biology, or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in conservation project management, research, or related field
  • Proven track record of developing and implementing successful conservation projects
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
