Job Overview
We are seeking a highly qualified Senior Renewable Energy Systems Designer to lead our technical design initiatives in the Janjanjere region. This role is critical to our expansion into the West African market, focusing on the development and optimization of wind energy systems tailored to local environmental conditions. The successful candidate will be responsible for creating complex electrical and mechanical system designs that ensure maximum energy yield and long-term reliability. This is a high-impact role that requires a deep understanding of power electronics, grid integration, and renewable energy technologies.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead the design and optimization of wind turbine electrical systems and power conversion units.
- Conduct advanced simulations and modeling to predict system performance under various environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with civil and mechanical engineers to ensure seamless integration of electrical components.
- Develop technical specifications and documentation for large-scale renewable energy installations.
- Oversee the testing and validation of new design prototypes in field conditions.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior design engineers within the regional team.
- Ensure all designs comply with international safety and quality standards for renewable energy systems.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in CAD software and electrical simulation tools like MATLAB/Simulink.
- Deep expertise in power electronics, grid synchronization, and control systems.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills related to complex electrical networks.

Education
A Master’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy Engineering, or a closely related field is mandatory. A PhD in a specialized engineering discipline is highly preferred.
Experience
A minimum of 7 years of professional experience in renewable energy system design, specifically focusing on wind or solar technologies. Proven track record of managing complex engineering projects from concept to implementation is essential. Experience working in emerging markets or developing regions is a significant advantage.
Salary
The annual salary for this position ranges from 450,000 SSP to 650,000 SSP, depending on experience and technical expertise. This package is competitive and reflects the seniority of the role.
