Job Overview
The Airport Operations Manager will lead all operational aspects of Yundum Airport, ensuring seamless coordination of flight schedules, ground handling, safety protocols, and passenger services. Key Responsibilities
- Oversee daily airport operations, including aircraft handling, baggage processing, and passenger flow.
- Develop and implement operational policies that comply with ICAO, IATA, and Gambian Civil Aviation Authority regulations.
- Coordinate with airline partners, ground service providers, and security teams to ensure on‑time departures and arrivals.
- Manage staffing schedules, training programs, and performance evaluations for ground handling personnel.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as turnaround time, on‑time performance, and safety incident rates.
- Lead emergency response planning and conduct regular drills to maintain readiness.
- Drive cost‑efficiency initiatives while maintaining service quality and safety standards.
- Prepare operational reports for senior management and regulatory bodies.
Required Skills
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- In‑depth knowledge of airport operations, safety standards, and regulatory frameworks.

Education
A Bachelor’s degree in Aviation Management, Aeronautical Engineering, Business Administration, or a related discipline is required. Relevant certifications such as IATA Airport Handling Certificate or equivalent are advantageous.
Experience
Minimum of five (5) years of progressive experience in airport operations, with at least two (2) years in a supervisory or managerial role. Experience in an international airline environment is preferred.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from 2,500,000 to 3,500,000 SSP per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses, health insurance, and retirement benefits.
