Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Data Center Operations Manager to join our team in Basse, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day operations of our data center, ensuring that all systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently. This is a challenging and rewarding role that requires a high level of technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage the day-to-day operations of the data center, including power, cooling, and network infrastructure.
- Ensure that all systems and equipment are running smoothly and efficiently, and that any issues are resolved promptly.
- Develop and implement policies and procedures to ensure the security and integrity of our data center.
- Collaborate with other teams, including IT and network operations, to ensure seamless integration of data center services.
- Manage and maintain relationships with vendors and suppliers to ensure that all equipment and services are delivered on time and to the required quality standards.
Required Skills:
- 8-12 years of experience in data center operations, preferably in a telecommunications company.
- Strong technical expertise in data center infrastructure, including power, cooling, and network systems.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with technical and non-technical teams.
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot complex technical issues.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of flexibility and adaptability.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
Experience: 8-12 years of experience in data center operations, preferably in a telecommunications company.
Salary: 60,000 – 90,000 SSP per annum.
