Job Overview

The E-Commerce Marketplace Operations Manager will play a critical role in scaling our presence in the Gambian market. This position is responsible for overseeing the end-to-end lifecycle of marketplace transactions, from vendor onboarding and catalog management to last-mile delivery optimization and customer satisfaction. You will be tasked with managing a diverse team of specialists to ensure that our platform remains the most reliable and efficient shopping destination in the country. This role requires a strategic thinker who can navigate the complexities of local logistics while implementing global best practices in digital retail. As we continue to expand, you will be at the forefront of driving operational efficiency and maximizing revenue growth through data-driven decision-making and vendor relationship management.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement operational strategies to improve marketplace efficiency and vendor performance.
  • Oversee the vendor onboarding process to ensure high-quality product listings and compliance with company standards.
  • Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) including delivery times, return rates, and seller ratings.
  • Collaborate with the logistics team to optimize last-mile delivery routes and reduce operational costs.
  • Manage relationships with third-party logistics providers and warehouse staff to ensure seamless fulfillment.
  • Analyze market trends and consumer behavior to identify new product categories for expansion.
  • Resolve complex customer and vendor disputes to maintain high levels of platform trust.

Salary
