Job Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Geophysics Research Scientist to join our team in Serekunda, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and participating in research projects, providing geological expertise to support the country’s development, and collaborating with international partners.
The ideal candidate will have a Ph.D. in Geophysics, 8-12 years of experience in research and development, and a strong understanding of geological processes and techniques.

Key Responsibilities
- Lead and participate in research projects to advance our understanding of geological processes and techniques.
- Provide geological expertise to support the country’s development, including advising on policy and practice.
- Collaborate with international partners to deliver projects that benefit the environment, economy, and people.
- Develop and maintain relationships with stakeholders, including the Gambian government, international organizations, and local communities.
- Contribute to the development of research proposals and reports.
Required Skills
- Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field.
- 8-12 years of experience in research and development.
- Strong understanding of geological processes and techniques.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Education
We require a Ph.D. in Geophysics or a related field from a recognized university.
