Job Overview
The Supply Chain Coordinator will support the Operations Department by managing the flow of goods, coordinating with carriers, and ensuring timely delivery of cargo through Maersk’s Serekunda hub. This position plays a pivotal role in optimizing inventory levels, monitoring shipment status, and liaising with customers and internal teams to resolve any logistical challenges. The role offers exposure to international trade processes, advanced supply chain software, and cross‑functional collaboration, making it an ideal stepping stone for ambitious professionals.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate inbound and outbound shipments, ensuring compliance with local regulations and Maersk standards.
- Maintain accurate records of inventory, shipment schedules, and documentation using Maersk’s digital platforms.
- Communicate proactively with carriers, freight forwarders, and customers to resolve delays or discrepancies.
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) such as on‑time delivery, cargo damage rates, and cost efficiency.

- Support customs clearance processes in collaboration with local authorities.
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to streamline workflows and reduce operational costs.

Education

Salary
