We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist to join our team in Kerewan, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable materials and technologies that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the promotion of sustainable development.

As a Sustainable Materials Scientist at GIZ Gambia, you will have the opportunity to work on exciting projects that contribute to the sustainable development of the Gambia. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and implement sustainable materials and technologies that contribute to the reduction of greenhouse gas emissions and the promotion of sustainable development.
• Conduct research and analysis on sustainable materials and technologies, and provide recommendations to stakeholders.
• Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, private sector companies, and civil society organizations, to promote the adoption of sustainable materials and technologies.
• Develop and implement training programs for stakeholders on sustainable materials and technologies.
• Monitor and evaluate the impact of sustainable materials and technologies on the environment and society.

Required Skills

• Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field.
• At least 5 years of experience in sustainable materials and technologies.
• Excellent research and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work in a team and collaborate with stakeholders.
• Fluency in English and local languages.

Education

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Sustainable Materials Scientist with a Master’s degree in Materials Science or related field. The successful candidate will have at least 5 years of experience in sustainable materials and technologies.

Salary

The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
