Job Overview

The Tourism and Cultural Heritage Manager will lead initiatives to integrate Gambian cultural heritage into the hotel’s tourism offerings. This role requires strategic planning to develop cultural programs, manage heritage site partnerships, and ensure sustainable tourism practices. The position reports directly to the General Manager and plays a pivotal role in enhancing guest experiences through authentic cultural engagement.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement cultural tourism programs that showcase Gambian heritage
  • Develop partnerships with local cultural institutions and artisans
  • Manage heritage site visits and cultural workshops for guests
  • Create educational materials about Gambian history and traditions
  • Ensure all tourism activities comply with cultural preservation standards
  • Collaborate with local communities to create sustainable tourism opportunities
  • Monitor and report on cultural tourism program effectiveness

  • Expertise in cultural heritage management and tourism
