Job Overview

This role focuses on developing and implementing AgriTech solutions to optimize crop yields, reduce post-harvest losses, and enhance market access for Gambian farmers. The position requires collaboration with agronomists, data scientists, and local farming communities to deploy scalable agricultural technologies.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and implement AgriTech tools for soil health monitoring and irrigation optimization
  • Analyze agricultural data to identify trends and improve productivity
  • Train farmers on using mobile-based farming applications and IoT-enabled equipment
  • Collaborate with local governments to align solutions with national agricultural policies
  • Conduct field trials for new agricultural technologies and document outcomes

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in agricultural data analysis software (e.g., ArcGIS, RStudio)
  • Experience with IoT devices in farming environments
  • Strong understanding of Gambian agricultural practices and challenges
