Job Overview:Our team is responsible for monitoring and evaluating the environmental impact of our projects in Gambia. We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional to join our team as an Environmental Monitoring Specialist. The successful candidate will be responsible for designing and implementing environmental monitoring programs, collecting and analyzing data, and reporting on the results. The position will also involve working closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure that our projects are implemented in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner. Key Responsibilities:
- Design and implement environmental monitoring programs for our projects in Gambia
- Collect and analyze data on environmental indicators, such as air and water quality, and habitat destruction
- Report on the results of environmental monitoring programs to our clients and stakeholders
- Work closely with our clients and stakeholders to ensure that our projects are implemented in a sustainable and environmentally friendly manner
- Develop and implement strategies to mitigate the environmental impacts of our projects
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental monitoring and management
- Strong background in environmental science, including knowledge of environmental indicators and monitoring techniques
- Excellent analytical and reporting skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
Education:The successful candidate must have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an asset.
Experience:The successful candidate must have at least 5-7 years of experience in environmental monitoring and management. Experience working in a developing country is an asset.
Salary:The salary for this position is 40,000 – 60,000 SSP per month.
