Job Overview:Are you passionate about environmental conservation and sustainability? Do you have a strong background in environmental science or a related field? We are seeking an experienced Environmental Sustainability Specialist to join our team in Janjanbureh, Gambia. As a key member of our sustainability team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing environmental sustainability initiatives that promote eco-friendly practices and reduce our environmental footprint.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement environmental sustainability initiatives that promote eco-friendly practices and reduce our environmental footprint
- Conduct environmental impact assessments and develop strategies to mitigate negative impacts
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders to integrate sustainability principles into business operations
- Develop and maintain relationships with external stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and local communities
- Monitor and report on environmental performance metrics and progress towards sustainability goals
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field
- 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field
- Proven track record of developing and implementing successful environmental sustainability initiatives
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
