Job Overview

We are seeking a Sustainable E-Waste Management Specialist to join our team in Bwiam, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and implementing sustainable e-waste management practices in our operations and in the communities we serve. This is a full-time position that requires a minimum of 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sustainable e-waste management practices in our operations and in the communities we serve.
  • Conduct research and analysis on e-waste management best practices and technologies.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including government agencies, NGOs, and private sector companies, to promote sustainable e-waste management practices.
  • Develop and implement training programs for staff and community members on e-waste management best practices.
  • Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of e-waste management practices and make recommendations for improvement.

Required Skills

  • Master’s degree in Environmental Science or related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field.
  • Strong research and analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Education

The successful candidate will have a Master’s degree in Environmental Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in Environmental Science or a related field is an asset.

Experience

The successful candidate will have at least 5-7 years of experience in environmental sustainability or a related field. Experience in e-waste management is an asset.

Salary

The salary for this position is 50,000 – 70,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience.
