Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Sustainable Geospatial Analyst to join our team in Soma, Gambia. The successful candidate will be responsible for analyzing and interpreting geospatial data to support decision-making and strategic planning. As a Sustainable Geospatial Analyst, you will have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from environmental monitoring and conservation to urban planning and development. Key Responsibilities:

  • Analyze and interpret geospatial data to support decision-making and strategic planning
  • Develop and implement geospatial solutions to address environmental and social challenges
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to identify and prioritize project objectives
  • Conduct research and analysis to inform policy and program development

Required Skills

To be successful in this role, you will need to have:

  • Master’s degree in Geospatial Science or related field
  • 5-7 years of experience in geospatial analysis and interpretation
  • Strong knowledge of geospatial software and technologies, including ArcGIS and QGIS
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively as part of a team

Education

We are looking for candidates with a Master’s degree in Geospatial Science or a related field. A Ph.D. in a relevant field would be an asset.

Experience

We are seeking candidates with 5-7 years of experience in geospatial analysis and interpretation. Experience working in a similar role in the Gambia or West Africa would be an advantage.

Salary

The salary for this role is 30,000 – 40,000 SSP per annum, depending on experience and qualifications.
