Job Overview
The Construction Project Engineer will play a pivotal role in planning, coordinating, and supervising construction activities for CRCC’s flagship projects in Janjanbureh and surrounding regions. Reporting to the Project Manager, the engineer will ensure that all engineering designs, specifications, and regulatory requirements are met while maintaining strict adherence to schedule, budget, and quality standards. Key Responsibilities
- Develop detailed engineering plans, drawings, and technical specifications in collaboration with design teams.
- Monitor daily construction activities, ensuring compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities to secure permits, materials, and resources.
- Track project progress against milestones, prepare status reports, and recommend corrective actions when deviations occur.
- Conduct site inspections, perform risk assessments, and implement mitigation strategies to prevent delays.
- Manage project budgets, control costs, and support procurement processes to achieve financial targets.
- Facilitate effective communication among multidisciplinary teams, fostering a collaborative work culture.
- Ensure accurate documentation of all project activities, including change orders, progress logs, and as‑built records.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of civil engineering principles, construction methods, and project management tools.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and MS Project or equivalent scheduling software.
- Excellent analytical, problem‑solving, and decision‑making abilities.
- Effective communication skills in English; knowledge of French or local languages is an advantage.

Education

Candidates must possess a minimum of five years of hands‑on experience in large‑scale construction projects, preferably within the infrastructure or building sector. Experience working on international projects in Africa or emerging markets is strongly preferred.
Salary
The successful applicant will receive a competitive monthly salary ranging from SSP 250,000 to SSP 350,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Additional performance‑based incentives and allowances may be offered.
