Job Overview

The Project Controls Engineer will join the Bakau site team to lead cost, schedule, and performance monitoring for large‑scale construction projects. Reporting to the Project Controls Manager, you will integrate data from multiple sources, produce accurate forecasts, and support decision‑making that keeps projects on time and within budget. Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain detailed project schedules using Primavera P6 or MS Project.
  • Prepare cost estimates, budgets, and financial forecasts aligned with project scope.
  • Monitor actual progress against baseline schedules and budgets, identifying variances.
  • Generate weekly and monthly performance reports for senior management and client stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with procurement, engineering, and site teams to ensure data integrity.
  • Implement risk management processes, including risk registers and mitigation plans.
  • Support change order evaluation and impact analysis.
  • Facilitate regular project control meetings and present findings to cross‑functional teams.

Required Skills

  • Proficiency in project control software (Primavera P6, MS Project, or equivalent).
  • Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
  • Excellent communication skills for reporting to diverse audiences.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines.
  • Knowledge of construction contracts and cost control principles.
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy.

Education

A Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as PMP, PMI‑ACP, or a Certified Cost Engineer designation are advantageous.

Experience

Minimum of five (5) years of hands‑on experience in project controls within the construction industry, preferably on large‑scale infrastructure or commercial projects. Experience with international projects and multicultural teams is highly valued.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a competitive annual salary ranging from SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000, commensurate with experience and qualifications. Performance‑based bonuses and allowances are also part of the compensation package.
