Job Overview
The Corporate Treasury Analyst will play a pivotal role in managing the bank’s liquidity, funding, and risk mitigation strategies. Reporting to the Treasury Manager, you will be responsible for daily cash positioning, forecasting, and optimizing the use of capital across the bank’s portfolio. This role requires strong analytical skills, a deep understanding of financial markets, and the ability to collaborate with cross‑functional teams. Key Responsibilities
- Monitor daily cash balances and ensure optimal liquidity levels across all accounts.
- Prepare accurate cash flow forecasts and variance analyses for senior management.
- Execute foreign exchange and money market transactions in line with the bank’s risk appetite.
- Maintain and reconcile treasury accounting records, ensuring compliance with IFRS and local regulations.
- Collaborate with the Risk Management team to assess and mitigate interest rate and currency exposure.
- Support the development of treasury policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare periodic treasury reports for internal stakeholders and external regulators.
- Assist in the evaluation of funding options, including syndicated loans and bond issuances.
Required Skills
- Strong quantitative and analytical abilities with proficiency in Excel and treasury management systems.
- In‑depth knowledge of cash management, FX, and money market instruments.
- Excellent communication skills for presenting complex data to non‑technical audiences.
- Attention to detail and ability to work under tight deadlines.
- Understanding of regulatory frameworks governing banking treasury activities in Gambia.
- Team‑oriented mindset with the capacity to collaborate across departments.
Education
A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CTP (Certified Treasury Professional) or CFA are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in corporate treasury, cash management, or a similar financial function within a banking or corporate environment.
Salary
The position offers a competitive salary range of SSP 1,500,000 to SSP 2,500,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.
