Job Overview
The Project Finance Analyst will play a pivotal role in evaluating, structuring, and monitoring the financial aspects of TotalEnergies’ energy projects in The Gambia. This role involves detailed financial modeling, risk assessment, and collaboration with cross‑functional teams to ensure projects are financially viable and aligned with corporate strategy. The analyst will support senior finance leaders in decision‑making, providing insights that drive investment efficiency and profitability. Key Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models for new and existing energy projects.
- Conduct feasibility studies, cost‑benefit analyses, and sensitivity testing.
- Prepare detailed investment memoranda and presentations for senior management and external stakeholders.
- Monitor project cash flows, budgets, and financial performance against targets.
- Collaborate with engineering, legal, and procurement teams to align financial assumptions with technical specifications.
- Identify and mitigate financial risks, ensuring compliance with internal policies and regulatory requirements.
- Support the preparation of financing proposals and liaise with banks, investors, and development agencies.
- Track market trends, commodity prices, and policy changes affecting project economics.
Required Skills
- Advanced proficiency in Excel and financial modeling software.
- Strong analytical and quantitative abilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of multidisciplinary teams.
- Knowledge of energy markets, especially oil, gas, and renewable sectors.
- Familiarity with project finance structures and debt/equity financing.
Education
A bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or a related discipline is required. Professional certifications such as CFA, CPA, or PMP are advantageous but not mandatory.
Experience
Applicants should have 3‑5 years of relevant experience in project finance, investment analysis, or financial advisory within the energy or infrastructure sectors. Experience with international financing and exposure to emerging markets will be considered a strong asset.
Salary
The compensation package ranges from SSP 250,000 to SSP 400,000 per month, commensurate with experience and qualifications. The package includes performance‑based bonuses and comprehensive benefits.
