Job Overview

We are seeking an experienced Pharmaceutical Regulatory Affairs Manager to lead our regulatory compliance operations in The Gambia. This critical role involves managing all aspects of pharmaceutical product registration, licensing, and regulatory submissions to ensure compliance with Gambian Medicines Board (GMB) requirements and international standards. The successful candidate will serve as the primary regulatory authority liaison and ensure that all Johnson & Johnson products meet stringent quality and safety standards before reaching Gambian patients. Key Responsibilities

• Develop and execute regulatory strategies for product registration and lifecycle management in The Gambia
• Prepare, submit, and manage regulatory applications to the Gambian Medicines Board and other relevant authorities
• Maintain current knowledge of Gambian pharmaceutical regulations and ensure organizational compliance
• Coordinate with global regulatory teams to align Gambian submissions with international standards
• Manage regulatory documentation, including product dossiers, labeling, and promotional materials
• Lead regulatory inspections and audits, ensuring timely resolution of any findings
• Provide regulatory guidance to cross-functional teams including R&D, quality assurance, and marketing
• Monitor regulatory changes and assess impact on company products and operations
• Develop and implement regulatory training programs for internal stakeholders
• Manage relationships with regulatory authorities and industry associations

Experience

Minimum 7 years of progressive experience in pharmaceutical regulatory affairs, with at least 3 years in a managerial role. Must have demonstrated experience with African regulatory authorities, particularly the Gambian Medicines Board. Experience with both established products and new product registrations is essential. Background in multinational pharmaceutical companies is preferred.
