Job Overview: We are seeking a highly experienced Renewable Energy Project Manager to join our Renewable Energy Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing and implementing renewable energy projects in the Gambia, with a focus on solar and wind energy. The position will involve working closely with government agencies, private sector companies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement projects that promote the use of renewable energy in the country.
Key Responsibilities:
- Manage and implement renewable energy projects in the Gambia, with a focus on solar and wind energy
- Develop and implement project proposals and business plans
- Work closely with government agencies, private sector companies, and other stakeholders to develop and implement projects
- Conduct feasibility studies and assessments to identify potential project sites and opportunities
- Develop and implement project monitoring and evaluation plans
- Ensure that projects are implemented in accordance with AfDB’s policies and procedures
- Provide technical assistance and support to project teams and stakeholders
Required Skills:
- Master’s degree in Renewable Energy or related field
- At least 8 years of experience in renewable energy project management
- Strong knowledge of renewable energy technologies and project development
- Excellent communication and project management skills
- Ability to work in a team and build relationships with stakeholders
- Fluency in English and French
